Online Process

All inquiries, new clients, and new cases are confidentially accepted online. Start by completing the client inquiry form below. Our reply will be preliminary (not a consultation or legal opinion) that may come from a legal assistant.

The online consultation process is easy, efficient, and popular with clients. After an email exchange and review of basic facts and documents, an optional call is available. Read our consultation engagement letter which outlines our terms of service.

If you know exactly what you want (a warranty deed, for instance) then you may bypass the initial consultation and go straight to a document request. However, complex matters require an initial consultation.

Legal Fees

We are primarily a flat-fee office although hourly billing and retainer arrangements are available.

No fees are incurred at the initial inquiry stage but there is a fee for consultations. The introductory discounted online consult fee for most new clients is $250 (not available to corporations or for matters exceeding $1M). Our hourly rate is $450.

“David is an incredibly knowledgeable and thorough attorney. His process is efficient and straightforward, and his guidance is superb.”

We do NOT accept real estate representation if the contract is already signed.

We are NOT a title company and do not offer closings or escrow services.

Client Inquiry Form

When and where do events occur? Who is involved? Is the case residential or commercial? Is litigation pending? What is the dollar amount involved? Also, what is the goal of your inquiry? A consultation? Document preparation or review? Transactional representation? LLC formation? Asset protection planning?

Please limit your initial inquiry to around 200 words. We can gather more detail and documents later.

Additional Contact Information

All inquiries, new clients, and new cases are processed exclusively by means of the Client Inquiry Form, not by phone or in the office. For online security reasons (persistent hacking attempts) we do not open online inquiries that are sent directly to our firm’s email address.

Our main phone is (713) 621-3100. Our fax number is (832) 201-5321. But again, we require that the online Client Inquiry Form be used for your initial contact.

For our mailing and physical addresses, see Location.

Fraud Prevention

We require a copy of government-issued photo identification. Fraud is rampant. Be sure you are dealing with our authentic website and not an imitator. Click on LoneStarLandLaw.com to circle back and verify.

Business Hours

Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. This is how we define a business day for purposes of turnaround, which varies with workload. Evening, weekend, and holiday emails are considered received on the next business day and are placed in our queue accordingly. View our vacation schedule.

Terms of Service

You become our client only after we expressly agree to advise you and we are monetarily retained. Until then, we provide no specific legal advice upon which you may rely and have no obligations regarding your case. These and other terms of service apply to everyone without exception, so please read these policies before engaging us.
